This is nice...

Hi guys,
Just migrated in from PlusNet (BT's line management and profiling meant I only ever got 2.7Mbit throughput at any time), but PlusNet were faultless and reliable (CS was good too) - now with Sky I get 5.8Mbits and sync around 6 - it's brilliant, and what my line should be capable of! Speed is great!

Hey, I'm thinking of migrating from PN myself actually to save a few quid a month.

If you dont mind me asking, did you have much downtime between PN and Sky, and have your line stats changed much since the move?

Hardly any downtime - was on PN before heading to the gym - when I came back my old router (which was also a DG834GT) was synced at 6Mbit (way faster than PN because of interleaving and dodgy line BRAS profiles) so I swapped with the new router and all was well. Line stats are...

nice price, no hassle about limits on max and a great service too.

customer service can be so-so especially at first (tier 1) but at least they pick up the phone immediately, unlike every other.

no outages and still on same sync for a few weeks now at the least.

Just asked for a MAC key. I suspect I'll get it straight away cos I use my connection more than PN would like (although not much at peak times actually <4Gb between 4pm and midnight).

Still time to think about it though.......
