thx for all the veiws lets try another way anyone on the sky mid package in the connah,s quay area what sort of speed you getting

atm with madasafish and sync around 4meg with a line length of about 3.63 km with a d/s attenuation of 49 and snr of about 6.4 tho that drops at night sometimes causing re-sync,s which has ended up with me on a very low profile ie going to bed with a sync of 4 to 5 meg and wakeing up with sub 1 meg speeds this is why i am thinking of the sky mid package as i belive it is llu so no daft bt profile system and for a fiver a month is worth a look

thx in advance for any help

Just a thought, but maybe you aren't getting any responses because of your highly specific target audience... You're limiting your audience to an exchange with 12,476 residential premises of which sky is just one provider on a forum where (despite all attempts) not all broadband users visit. Also, the speed someone else gets on the exchange is largely irrelevant as the biggest factor with sky is the BT phone line and yours is different to anyone else's...

Perhaps if you ask something a little more generic you may get a better response...

PS. I am on mid and do get good speeds from sky. I'm not a heavy gamer so don't care about pings and the like. It's likely that you will get similar sync rate as your current provider but will give you a data rate close to the sync rate (no daft BT profiles).
