Router and general set up

[link to this post]

Hi, i have recently been activated on sky, and am quite happy with the speed.

My question is, if i were to configure a router manually, what would be the username and password for the connection?

When i look on the router using the defaul username and pass admin / sky (which i have now changed) i cannot see a connection entry for e.g [email protected] ? any suggestions?

many thanks

G

It's very logical. With Sky, you can take the router out of the box, plug it in, and be surfing the internet within 5 minutes, and the only setting up would be in setting up security for the wireless connection.

Yesterday I spent 2 hours with a TalkTalk customer doing precisely the same thing.

agreed very fast to get up and running, but no way attached to a typical user name and pass. But hey ho.. it works.
