DNS issues?

[link to this post]

Does anyone have any issues with certain sites not resolving with Sky.
I switched from Newnet a few weeks ago and am getting problems trying to connect to some (random) sites, seemingly at peak times.
I've checked my MTU settings, which seem ok, and tried router reboots and thought it might be Sky's DNSs at fault....?
If this is the case, is it possible to use another ISP's, more reliable DNSs?
Thanks.

Having trouble setting the router up, any ideas please?
It's a new Sagem one, the interface looks like Netgear software but I can't find anywhere to enter the new DNS nos, the only relevant-ish section I can see is for switching to a dynamic DNS service.

You cant add it to the router, you will have to add the new DNS servers to the PC's network card.

Thankyou.
How do I do that please?
My pc doesn't have a separate card for networking, I just use the router for a single pc via a lan cable.

Not really something you should be playing with really, if you don't know how...

What Operating system are you using?

if it's Windows XP the procedure is something like

Start /
Settings /
Network Settings /
Local Area Network /
Properties /

Find and select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in the list and click Properties
Click in the Use the following DNS server addresses
enter the relevant details

Ok everything and reboot
