Connection

[link to this post]

Hello,

Ive just signed up to Sky Max and am awaiting activation.

I have been sent a username and password.

I have looked through all info that came with the router and there is no info on where this username and password is entered.

There is a disc in the box, do i need to install the software on disc and then enter this username and password or is this username/password only for logging on to the Sky Broadband website?

I am aware you cant login to the router like i have done in the past

Router is totally plug and play, that username and password is hard coded in the router.

To login to the router 192.168.0.1 it is username "admin" and password "sky" no quotes. That may be back to front, not too sure.

The third username and password is used to log on to the sky portal and I believe is part of your default first mail address.

As for the disk, you don't need it, it just puts branding stuff on you computer, best left alone IMO.

Edit. Removed username replaced with password
