My mum and dad have Sky broadband, before they were with Bulldog and everything was fine. However, since being on Sky every 5 mins or so the internet ceases to respond for anything up to a minute. Then it'll come back...
Router stays connected during this time, whilst it's happening I can log into the router fine, everything seems fine. This happens on 2 laptops they have at the same time...they only use the internet for ebay.
I've called Sky twice but the experience isn't pleasent. I spoke to a guy tonight who was rather rude.. He had me running virus checks and netstat. Saying the problem could be the fact there's of things listed when I run netstat. In fact as soon as I open firefox and then run netstat it lists maybe 12 things but they're ebay/google etc etc, trusted names. I'm a mac person so not entirely sure what netstat is telling me.
Anyone else get these same problems?
