Need your help please

i am ment to be on unlimited 20meg bb, i have rang sky a few times about this & they say they are giveing me unlimited downloads, i have checked my rourter stats & im on adsl 1, how do i get them to put me back on adsl2 as that is what they have been chargeing me since i got there service, i havwe spoke tp there tec people & they dont seen to want to help.

Need your stats including Attenuation and SNR.

We need to see your full line stats , to include your SNR margin and line Attenuation .

But with a sync of 8608 kbps you are already on ADSL2+ but my guess is you are a victim of Sky " Dynamic Line Management " ( DLM ) but as i said we need to see your full line stats .

Hello cant see SNR line Attenuation .where would they be & whats " Dynamic Line Management "

Dynamic Line Management (DLM) is a process which continuously monitors your line to ensure that a stable connection is being maintained.

This works by data being sent to the DSLAM every time you connect to the Internet, including line data and any errors on the phone line.

The information is collated by the Data Collector which in turn sends it to the Dynamic Line Management system.

Should the DLM detect an issue on the line it will adjust SNR and Interleaving settings or decrease your connection (synchronisation) speed to a level which will provide you with a stable connection.

And i cant tell you how to get your router stats unless you tell me what router you have been supplied with by Sky .

Your speed is being limited by the large amount of noise on your line. You need to fix that and you will be able to get around 18Megs downstream.

Good question. Didn't you used to have this problem before swapping to VM?
