UKOnline's £20 IPStream offering used the exact the same network and thus came with the exact same issues. However, nobody there kept tabs on how much was being downloaded. You could eat up a terabyte in a month and nobody would bat an eyelid.

Whether you think it's unfortunate or not depends on the quality of service you received. The quality I received during my time there was abysmal and the support lied through their teeth, likely due to a lack of understanding of their own products. Some of the emails I received would make anybody with a decent understanding of the Internet cringe.
