telephone service is scheduled for the 18th of this month. How long does it take for adsl after the service is active? 7 days?

My Sky line just went active on the 8th and ive been given a broadband activation date of the 18th so 10 days.

mine is also 10 days phone line active on 11/4/11 and they told me 21s for BB

If I understand you correctly, you are after a new line installing (or an existing, unused, line connecting).

BT Open Reach usually charge around £125 per new connection IIRC, so if you are getting that for £100, then you've saved £25 off the normal price.

BT are currently charging £30 for a new line install as long as you take their phone service.

The second line is for broadband and phone use. Mind you, I don't want a 18 month contract! My area is supposed to be getting fast broadband early next year.

Its so expensive for a 2nd line installation! I was told £130 on their chat thing. I want to know what my quarterly line rental will be, or monthly fee. I find their packages page so confusing. e.g. its £4 per month, unless you make less than 10 calls per month in which case its blah blah.
