Re: Sky LLU due tomorrow

[re: deleted] [link to this post]

just noticed my attenuation for the upstream seems to have righted inself from 20db to

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 13309 kbps 1101 kbps
Line Attenuation 32.0 db 15.8 db
Noise Margin 6.4 db 7.5 db

its really 13.8db, this netgear always reports it 2db higher

d/s seems to have dropped from 13700 but upstream is doing well.

so both my lines are practically identical attenuation wise however i notice the sky one suffers from noise worse then TT

So if you were to compare the actual use on the SKY and TT lines, how would they compare.

* Raw download
* Games
* Web Browsing
* Work VPN
* {others}

cant really tell as they are bonded so dont see any difference at browser bar faster speed.

however im having to route my ps3 traffic through my TT line as the ping currently while in testing with sky is quite high, im hoping it will settle down.

The TT line is much more stable then the sky line but will see what i can do.

The TT line has pro rj11 cable and a bt nte2000 faceplate while the sky line has a normal rj11 lead and a adslnation faceplate. So far, the BT faceplate seems to be better on my TT line as i had the adslnation on it before.

I might invest in another bt nte2000 soon for the sky line, waiting for the 10 days to be over so i can ask for gaming profile.

I can't believe that people are complain that they can't get more than 13megabits. Maybe you would like to cope with 4megabits or how about 1?

I am not envious as the speed I got does what I want, just fed up of people complaining that they can't get the speed they thought they would get

Fair enough, but people do moan about getting 14megabits then they thought they would get 16.

Now if I lost a couple of megabits it would be a lot to lose, but when you get to 8megabits or more then be happy with what you got.

I am happy with my 4megabits BTW, more than I ever got before here.

Can you describe in full how you bonded the lines?

Did you use a third party subscription service for this?

Thanks.
