My sky router recently changed from VPI 0 VCI 38
to VPI 0 VCI 40

So give this a go.

Otherwise the method already suggested will work.

VCI 40 is for Sky's MER network. It will be of no use here.

I use a DGN1000 on my sky connection (LLU).

Have you got multiplexing set to VC-Based?

Sky's PPPoA network uses VPI 0, VCI 38 and VC multiplexing.
