I'm on the Home 30 (20CN) package. My exchange (ESNML) does not have 21CN WBC. It is only in the last few months that LLU has come to the exchange, first Talk Talk, now Sky.
From what I can find there is no plans to move the exchange to 21CN or fibre.
My concern is that I have read that LLU (ADSL2+?) can reduce your connection speed. Can Sky LLU offer either ADSL or ADSL2+. In other words if the 'newer' technology is not good for me, can they drop back to the older technology?
ADSL2+ can reduce your speed if you are on very long lines. but it also depends on who is supplying the service.
As i said, when Bt changed to their new system, my sync speed here went right down as they put me ADSL2+, even when they changed things it made little difference.
when i went onto the network I am on now, it was still ADSL2+, but I got 2Megabits more than what I got with BT.
It also depends on your router as well, my speedtouch knocks the SNR down to 5, so I get a faster sync speed, but the Netgear keeps it at 9.
The problem with Bt system is that as soon as you turn the router off for any reason, and turn it back on the system thinks that you have problems and mucks it all up again.
No dynamic line management for me or profiling as Bt calls it, which is one of the other reason I am staying where i am, as other LLU services seem to have this DLM
