I've found inconstancies and plain errors on almost all the checkers.

Openreach is coming Thursday to install Sky Fibre and still the usual checkers say I can't get FTTC so I'll find out if any of them are right then.

I know what FTTC cabinet I'm on and it's up and running and in commision so I'm hopeful.

OK thanks, I might try to order from them. If I get their ADSL product initially, will I be able to change onto FTTC with Sky when my cab is live later this year, or will there be a minimum contract period for ADSL before I can switch?

Thanks again for any info.

Most providers will extend the contract, so if 6 months left and new contract is 12 months, it becomes 18 months

Do you have the exact wording, as for a LLU telephone number Sky sometimes don't recognise them (or it may be a virgin block and they assume you have cable)

Sky Broadband Everyday Lite and Unlimited are not currently available in your area, but you can order Sky Broadband Connect.

You'll need to take Sky Line Rental with Sky Broadband Connect.

If you post your postcode then I or someone else on here will check the December BT leaked file to see what cabinet the post code connects to.

thanks to MrSaffron

Yeah thanks to Mr Saffron for that checker smile

It says that the probability is 100% which I assume means that the FTTC will definently go ahead despite the results being based on December 2011 data?

The speed increase figure is 11.05 so I should get around 33 Mbps compared to the 3 Mbps I get on ADSL !

The 100% means all of the telephone lines in that post code go to the same cabinet, and its scheduled to get FTTC. Where you see percentages less than 100% you'll see multiple entries in the data for each cabinet covering that post code. Sometimes you could find that not all cabinets covering a post code would be upgraded and so you've got a bit of a lottery.....

I wouldn't worry about it being from December - the data is only updated every few months (April just released) and doesn't always leak (April hasn't yet.) The main difference is just to add data for newer phases that have been announced since December.

So good news having 100% in the results then.

I really can't wait where as if I was already getting 10 Mbps+ on ADSL I would not be so eager to upgrade because the benefits wouldn't be so great !
