I know what Mr Saffron is saying, but why not change the 1024 vs 1000 if it's causing that bigger difference?

Change has been done, just doing lots of other changes too, like letting the flash link back to your thinkbroadband profile

Not sure what's going on now. I've been connected at 69,020 for a few days now (and I still am). I have just checked the modem and my downstream SNR is 2.8 and max attainable speed is around 66,000! Last thing I'm going to do now is reset my modem or router unless absolutely necessary. What on earth is going on with my line?!!!

I suspect going back to 40/10 will get your fast path back but of course you trading speed for latency.

In future html5 will be supported by more not less, as now some devices are losing flash support.

kinda inevitable when the maker of flash decides to withdraw it!
