New ADSL connection

My original post (which I was going to update) appears to have disappeared. Had a new connection on Wednesday, connected by MER to the Sandy exchange (I have been reading that some people previously on MER have been moved back to PPOA with detrimental effects). Funnily enough, I was able to use the previous owners TalkTalk connection with the sky router (until it was cut off) and connected at 16.5 meg. Obviously the Sky connection starts at 4 and works its way up. To date we are not at 10 meg, so over half way to where I am hoping the speed will finally stabilise. It makes such a difference to the 2 meg received back in Leeds, so won't need to be thinking fibre now (not yet anyway ).

Still a happy bunny. Sync has now reached around 16 meg and throughput at speedtest.net is 14 meg (wireless connection).

Using the new Sky router, I think I may be at about the best I am going to see on my stats, which is currently 7- 8x my previous speeds. Kitz says I may be able to squeeze "up to" another 2 meg from the line, but not that worried to be honest.

That looks around about the max on that line.

If it's not got a speed in there for you then DLM is still running. If it has a speed then DLM has finished

Training is complete. The Sky page says we are at 17MB. This wireless speedtest is giving me just over 14MB throughput. I will have to dig out an ethernet cable to see if that makes much of a difference.
