I think 22/2.5 is the max you could get on 02 when they did ANNEX M

Some BE users hit the magic 24meg sync, with 2.0 slightly higher upload. There was an exclusive thread for the "24meg club" on the BE private forum. :-/

Ah right. I think I had one of the fastest O2 provides - less than 3 days including router delivery.

smile

I think O2 was always interleaved, so that might have been the limit to 21/22meg. BE let you set fast path, but often it caused lots more disconnects. I remember my 6ms ping to the BBC before my line broke and was repaired. I used to get 18meg sync, then after that I got 16meg sync. I reckon just coincidence as lots of people probably signed up here when Sky broadband did a massive push (about same time).

well, i got a reply from sky - I have checked against your address and currently fibre is not available, although your exchange has been upgraded we are waiting for your local PCP to be upgraded. We currently have no time scales for this upgrade to happen.

i guess the PCP is the cab between me and the exchange?

Yes. That's the green box with the number on it, and you need a companion fibre box.

If however the fibre box is there, then you need Sky to have enabled it for their network (called a GEA Jumper Cable).

You need a BT line to get a proper accurate response. This is because BT is the only voice supplier (via BT wholesale) sharing the data on the internet.

Sky and TalkTalk you have to ask their customer services, they should have access to the same data, but they don't seem to know.

You could try the [email protected] email address, give them your full postal address including post code and telephone number
