I went up to a v6 upgrade on the same router. Wonder if they have to go from vxx -> v6 -> v7.

I was thinking about how can I get an IP6 connection. Looks like SKY are starting the long process.

Last time they "upgraded" the firmware on my router it killed a vpn I was using, they ended up sending a new router to fix it.

My SR101 firmware was upgraded overnight. Oddly, no sign of IPv6.

Manufacturer Sky
Model SR101
Firmware Version 1.15n.3591.R
ADSL Firmware Version A2pD039f.d24k

Oliver.

Mine is still at 1.15j.2639.R

Can one force an update or do you have to leave it to happen by Sky automated thingy ?

you have to wait unless you have the firmware file, which no one has... so... its just a wait.

Cold boot (as in switch off at the mains) the router a couple of times. Part of the boot up sequence is to check for updates. It used to work on the Sagem routers, I might dig out the 101 later and give it a go.

Thank you to both ! I'll just wait I rather not reboot the modem as the last time I did that it went into a manic line training that lasted 40 days LOL

My corporate VPN works OK, not noticed any quirks elsewhere either, seems as stable as the V6 firmware. Mind you I've got a good line, so probably not a very testing case....
