It's blocked now. The previous capture screen capture omitted the "powered by incapsula" logo which indicates it's incapsula/billionuploads doing the blocking.

I suspect traffic is funnelled through a proxy at Sky's end and billionuploads is seeing too much traffic coming from one IP address, something like that. Definitely not a Sky block though.

Oliver.

If it happens again I would suggest contacting Billionuploads since it was blocked on their side.

Thank you, that explains it. I did get that incapsula site mentioned.

Another site which does not like the proxy that Sky uses. Is this proxy used to filter and block sites? Such as the one used to block access to child porn sites among other things?

I never had the problem with Be broadband. Perhaps because Sky has more users, it becomes more easily noticed.

Be ADSL2+ Atten: 27dB to 27.5dB up, 52dB to 52.5dB down: SN Margin Profile currently 6dB.
Using SpeedTouch 546, I have a brand new one available for sale - No I don't because lightning killed the one I was using

Yes, the Sky IWF proxy blocks URLs but not whole sites, so the chances are just one or a few specific URLs on Billionuploads are/were blocked, and certainly not the home page. However the system works by funnelling all Sky customer traffic through a proxy server, so the destination sees tons of traffic from one IP address and locks it out for "suspicious activity". Hence the block message you saw.

I just changed over to sky from Be.. its not blocked here at 6:17pm.

Be did used you block things or attempt to block them because I remember sites similar to billionuploads being blocked. As Oliver says its usually blocked because of a specific url. Eventually it usually unblocks.

Freeserve -> Pipex -> Be
