I am returning a router back to Amazon but I have put my Sky ADSL username and password in it, I also tried a custom firmware and put it in that. I made sure I factory reset each firmware (I went from custom/standard then back to custom and it remembered all the info so just flashing over it didn't lose details) I just wonder if someone did somehow extract my username and password from the router I'm sending back (I expect it will be sold again in Amazon warehouse) could they use my internet somehow?

All Sky routers have different a "username/password" but from a 3rd party router point of view you can use and username/password extracted from any Sky router you have. When I was using a 3rd party router on my SFUP connection I was using the username/password that was extracted from my very first Sky ASDL router.
Hi Simon, could you tell me how you extracted the password from your sky router please.
My password is in code form made up of stars, i'm hoping to use my own dsl router.
Thanks
