Now that is a good question. When I ordered SKY Q it needed a SKY BB line to work. Not sure if the BB line contract is also extended to the same as the SKYQ contract. I assumed so when I ordered.

Uptime? Maybe two minutes, sometimes ten seconds, but could be even less. Been like that in May, June, July, August and September. The time spent on the phone to Sky 'customer service' Two hours a week on average, Total time Openreach have been in attendance at my house? About 10 hours. Time with a massive hole at the end of my drive? Couple of weeks. Time to the end of my 'broadband' and 'landline' contract around 200+ days.

Is virginmedia available where you live, it might be easier than diagnosing the fault with the current line to just get cable.

It depends how much you value 5Ghz WiFi and how much you use the wireless. It will not give you more range, just a faster connection to newer devices over wireless.

You're better off spending £68 on a router which can connect to ISPs other than Sky, IMO.

As an update the longest I have been connected is 40 days.

If you are on dynamic IP address does this cause your connection to drop after the IP address has been renewed?
