I bought a very cheap router, same one as I used to have (asus dsl-n55u) as it had the features I wanted, haven't tried it yet. Though my router (dsl-ac88u) seems to be working better now that I put the snr margin up to 10db I lost about 700kbps but very few FEC errors, infact more on upload than download!

Though it hasn't been connected for long enough yet to see if it really is working properly.
