How is SKY FTTP?

How are people finding the SKY FTTP service?
Trustpilot reviews do not look good.

Personally was happy with Sky FTTP but left due to price after the 18 month contract where the price rose to £36 a month for a 150Mbps service, went to Plusnet for £27 and a good year on I am just paying £30.

Pretty good to be fair. Our FTTP install was delayed 6 weeks (not Sky's fault). Sky sorted everything out and ketp me informed. and we got over £200 back for the inconvenience. No issues at all in the 18 months I was with them, rock solid 900Mb connection. I moved to Vodafone as the price was significantly cheaper and thats been fine too (albeit at 500Mb).

In short, Sky were great for me, had they moved a little on renewal price I would still be with them now.

I just left Sky and their network performance was spot on, i.e. no CGNAT or peak time congestion, although we were on FTTC. I hope to go back to them in the future when they are live on CityFibre.

I signed up to sky 500 FTTP in march 2025.
Problems in the sign up due to the system wanting to give me a new phone number rather than transferring my existing digital phone line number( phone line digital on FTTC).
I had problems with the initial install due to the Sky installer who came, had an attitude of cant do rather than can do.
The install was finally completed at the begining of April.

Since install the router has never had a drop out and has been !00% reliable.

My speedtests are in the range 400 to 480 with 70 up and pings of around 12

Hope this helps in making your decision.
