How do I leave after LLU

[link to this post]

Talk Talk have completed messed up my service since LLU, which was back in September. Phoned Line 1 too many times to mention, wrote to the Customer Services Director twice, have had the 2nd line support call me many a time to say the problem is fixed. Guess what it isn't.

So I thought enough is enough. However, I have since been informed from other providers that because Talk Talk have there own exchanges and I have been LLU'd I would have to pay between

You will have to talk to TalkTalk to get a MAC code. After 14 Feb migrations should be "seamless". If your service is not fit for purpose, then you should not be bound by any contractual terms.

I have requested my MAC but they have said since I am LLU there is no MAC code. This still will not resolve the issue with my phone line being held hostage

You need to speak to BTwholesale and ask them to re-take the line from talktalk. The charge your talking about sounds like a charge for a new line installation. I know there has been people on this forum that have spoken to BT and they have taken the line back of TalkTalk for no charge.

just ring BT and ask them to port your number back. it should be f.o.c. but you more than likely will end up with a letter from talktalk informing you of cancellation charges. that would be upto you to resolve. iether way, in most cases a mac key may be required for you to have broadband with someone. personally, id deal with that issue at a later date.

Wise words do_not_do_it and thanks for the advice. Ironically I am having problems getting through to BT at the moment.

Ideally I want to change my ISP to BT but I am waiting until they are allowed to lower their prices. Hopefully this will be coming soon and I can get a reliable service again.

Having said that I have BB working since Sunday with no problems. This is a new record for Talk Talk since the LLU in September. Just maybe...
