BB problems

[link to this post]

Can someone give me some advice on why my TT BB has gone so wrong?

Everything was great until a few weeks ago with consistent download speeds of 6.5Mbps and then without me changing a thing, it all ground to a halt (at times) - see link;

http://www.thinkbroadband.com/profile/connections/viewconnection/id/6511.html

My netgear stats seem fine and haven't changed;

System Up Time 07:30:46
Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
WAN PPPoA 29690 39959 0 225 1556 07:29:54
LAN 10M/100M 25107 19082 0 1005 164 07:30:44
WLAN 11M/54M 15574 11436 0 592 84 07:30:42

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8127 kbps 443 kbps
Line Attenuation 21.5 db 7.3 db
Noise Margin 23.7 db 26.3 db

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

More LLU exchanges; AOL and TT sharing backhaul; capacity problems on the network; new network infrastructure. It's happening all over if you read the forum and website.

Have you checked your exchange on TT service status and the network update table?

My speeds have improved recently. Give them a month or two.

Similar story here.

Speeds were reasonable until a few weeks ago. Now seem to have intermittent freeze ups of connectivity, especially in the evening peak times.

Is it worth contacting support about this or is really a case of waiting to see if they install extra capacity ?

Router stats in case it is a problem at my end :-

Connection Speed 8123 kbps 446 kbps
Line Attenuation 22 db 5 db
Noise Margin 17 db 0 db

Things seem to have improved tonight

Not sure what has changed but connection now seems very responsive and I am getting 6k downloads.

Interestingly something seemed to reset last night as I was prompted to re-enter my ADSL password - Is this a sign of switching across to the upgraded network ?

Anyway, heres hoping the speed continues

Well, my speeds are still generally rubbish. Once in a while it will go up to its previous usual of 6.5Mbps. But it keeps freezing, and more often I get speeds of 1.2Mbps.

TT's approach - if it aint broke, break it.
