Numbers on local exchange

hi tt'ers
does the amount of tt customers on my local exchange affect the speed and reliability of the connection (i.e. disconects etc.)?
just wondering, coz i am fancying moving to tt, for purely financial reasons, you understand?

Not until the capacity of the backhaul is reached and then it takes about 6 weeks to upgrade the exchange.
