Extremely Slow Speed

Hello, I just got the broadband from Talk Talk. Here are my line stats:

- download: 476 kB/s
- upload: 56 kB/s

But in the real world I get:
- download: 100 kB/s
- upload: 40 kB/s

I tried to register talk talk members website but I don't have any customer number........ I just have my phone line number, my order number and that's all I never received a customer number so I can't register there. Can you try to fix my connection?

Your customer number is your account number. This is quoted on the top of all letters you recieve from TalkTalk as well as bills.

If you get faster speeds at off peak times, then this is the effect of contention or exchange congestion. Peak periods have more users hence the slow downs. Yours is not below the minimum spec BT uses.
