They take over both the line and broadband (for most), and do not require a MAC.

You don't need one when switching to TalkTalk LLU, but it's best if you ask for one anyway, as it usually doubles as initiating a notice period (usually 30 days or so) with your current ISP. If you do move to TalkTalk, be sure to double-check with your old ISP that they've shut down your account. MAC codes are only necessary when migrating from one ISP to another when they both use BT IPStream based products, of which TT's own LLU broadband is not.

No, also when one is BB only LLU.

1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU BB => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU BB

Yeah, I will not sign up as I knew talktalk is rubbish according to my old mates telling me at work. Virgin media cable is better.

Virgin also costs more ,and is only available in built up areas , where as TalkTalk has the largest LLU coverage of any LLU ISP and easily out performs resold BT budget offerings .

Will you be , becoming yet another one of the TalkTalk trolls that come on this forum posting negative stuff when your not even a customer , have never been a customer , and dont ever want to be a customer , so don't actually know or want to know what the TalkTalk service is like ? . ( its not perfect , im the first to admit that )

I HAVE been a customer , though I told TT to shove it after 5 days of clueless incompetence , so I have undergone the talk talk "experience". You cant build a stonewall around people and not let them them have their say, if he thinks talk talk sucks, then so be it and your neverending whingeing like a little girl wont change it one bit.
