Ward 24 is the Unit where my husband was treated following his diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia until his death 16 months later.
It would have been nice if we could have got a larger cheque , but after all
Unfortunately, it's the maximum goodwill payment they can order. To be fair, money is normally paid for bills wrongly charged, and can run into considerably larger sums.
But by keeping my request reasonable, Tiscali just made themselves look worse.

Update
Following that nothing more has been heard from TalkTalk/Tiscali.
We know that OTELO's report was sent to them but they never responded to OTELO
As a result OTELO confirmed that the award of £50 was to be paid. This should have arrived at the end of November
BUT strange to relate no money has been received - we are cogitating on our next action

I can only suggest a formal " Final Notice before Legal Action" ( http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/after_you_buy/makin... ) be sent to their HO giving them 14 days before you open an online Small Claim.

Think we will probably now wait till Christmas is over and the Royal Mail / Post Office returns to 'normality' and then we will light a few pieces of blue touch paper and then stand back.
If the TalkTalk Rep is reading [ it's a helluva big IF ] take note and tell your bosses - if we go to Court I WILL WIN and it will get TT a lot of bad publicity

We still do not have the cheque in our hands .
OTELO are aware of this - it seems the problem is compounded by the very large number of Tiscali billing problems [does this sound familiar ?] which are also in the pipeline.
This is not satisfactory - but I really can't see what can be done. I gather I'm just one person in a huge number of folk , all of whom are having problems .
It really is time TalkTalk actually cleaned up the Tiscali problems for good, instead of telling folk to contact a non-existent company and then dragging their feet . I suppose I should count myself lucky that there was only 1 threat of debt collectors - but I'm still not happy

THIS IS NOW THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF THE FIRST LETTER FROM TALK TALK INFORMING ME THAT MY HUSBAND , WHO DIED AT THE END OF MAY THE PRECEDING YEAR , OWED THEM MONEY.
We have been awarded a small sum of money by OTELO , but it has not as yet been paid.
When will it be paid ?
Perhaps I will be posting on the second anniversary of the first letter from Talk Talk - who knows.

I have the manager of our Otelo team waiting for me to pass on your details. If you send the email to the address in my last post. We can then identify you and locate the missing cheque and finally bring this to a conclusion for you.

What an utterly contemptible company. I too received an award against Pipex via Otelo, received nothing, wrote again to Otelo after two months, they are writing to Pipex again but I'm not holding my breath.
Last week I had a letter from TalkTalk saying that as a valued former Pipex customer I could have a great deal with TT. Even smoke signals would be better than this shower.
Obviously the runaround is designed to make ex-customers give up, as the courts prefer you to complete any complaints procedure before claiming. Well it's completed ... and I'm claiming.

Seems that TT is as bad as my local train operator Southeastern! The management is very similar.

I understand this has been a difficult issue for you and TalkTalk haven't been as helpful as they could, but surely you can understand that I can't ring a mobile number and say "who is this I am calling from TalkTalk concerning an unknown account that you are dealing with?"
I need at least an account number or telephone number in order to pass this over. Once we know which account we are dealing with my colleague will be happy to investigate this further.
We really want to get this issue cleared up for you.

I can not give you any details - all the correspondence [ a thick file ] is held by the Executor and I am unable to access that - I can assure you that the mobile number you have been given is that of the Executor .
I repeat - you must contact the Executor and I would strongly urge you that , before you phone her , you read ALL the threads regarding this business on this Forum .

Anything to snipe, eh? Just be glad that TT have finally acted on this ruling. Altho' I'd wait till the cheque had cleared before I'd consider this finished.
