I see this ramshackle of an ISP still have capacity issues and are still shoe horning new customers onto a network so overstuffed that its fit to burst.
The great british jeremy kyle viewing public see the £3.49 charge , roll up their copy of the daily star, set down their kentucky fried chicken and sign up for the absolute worst internet provider in the UK for obscenely long contract length. For their paltry £3.49 they receive:
Customer "support" which is so abysmal TT had to set up an internet based users forum, if your TT connection bites the dust , you are kind of screwed arent you.
Phone support from minimum wage remedials who can barely speak english clearly and read from scripts to "help" you. If your problem deviates from the script and your connection is down........then you are on your own and still paying your £3.49 for the privilege.
Clueless and unhelpful billing dept staff who probably had to be shown how to use a calculator.
A service provider who are never far from the headlines. Repeatedly complained about to OFCOM or OTELO, featured on Watchdog for ripping customers off and providing a shocking service, and regularly year in year out at bottom of all polls for customer satisfaction.
A company who are behind liars doing cold calling sales who will tell you anything to get your name on a contract and a get commission payment for themselves and with no recompense for the lies and untruths they told you.
A company who will steal your line and transfer your account over to them without your consent.
A company who are regularly fined for their ineptitude in providing the service their customers paying for.
A company who treat their customers like dirt
And the great british cheapskate willing to spend £3.49 for an internet account is still getting conned and mis-sold a 10th rate internet package every day of the week. You get what you pay for in this day and age and when you sign the dotted line on a talk talk contract you are getting well and truly screwed. Remember what I said in the thread title, if you are looking for an ISP at this time and are considering handing over that £3.49 to sign up with TT, then you are truly insane. Take heed , use your common sense and stay well away.

if TT weren't so incompetant then they would be no trolls, the facts speak for them selves.
fined multiple times for incorrect billing constant lies about their performance. i was even banned from their so called help forums for speaking my mind, it's like nazi propaganda on there, the sun shines out of it's [censored] over there, emplying mindless script monkeys, who haven't got a clue.

I quiet agree trolling is not a good idea.
I did not like their service in the end. But I did what one should do. If they do not like the service go somewhere else. So I did without the bad feeling.

A post too far....I made my point and I do not want this to get personal in any way.
Your confrontations and your opinions are on record. I accept that your interventions tend to be about your own personal current connection...but that can get tiresome and repetitive.
Thankfully most of our dear readers are intelligent enough (and not insane) to sort out the wood from the trees in these matters; but in these austere times I hate to see server space wasted with so much repetition.
Just think how much Andrew has used up with his 100,000+ posts.

Hi Bilboa8,
To clarify, the forums werent setup to replace telephony based customer service, but rather to add more options for our customers to obtain support.
In addition the TTMF team extend this support to external forums, such as Think BB and a mulitude of other sites, in order to be proactive in the support we offer which to my knowledge few other ISP have taken the time or resources to do.
In regards your points I understand your not a current TT customer so Im unsure as to what experience of capacity issues you are referring to. Can you provide evidence to support the claims you have made when initating this post and we will be happy to investigate.
Regards

Don't waste your time Mark - bilbo8 has not been a TalkTalk customer for at least 5 years (if at all), because he says here that he has been on O2 LLU for 5 years.

Oh I say.....Well and truly rumbled...As a talk talk customer myself I have had great service from them so as long as that stays then I stay with them. The forums are excellent though.

Has genuine capacity issues and Telefonica UK has lost customers and O2 still have one of the worst performing resold BT products in the market .
But bilbo is on another ISP forum banging on about capacity issue he could never of experienced anyway , as he not a TalkTalk customer .
A true troll .

Although, to be fair, if bilbo really was with TalkTalk 5 or so years ago, that would probably have been around the time they launched the infamous "Free Broadband Forever" campaign, and certainly there were capacity problems then in so many respects as TalkTalk couldn't keep up with demand as I'm sure many will remember. But things are very different now to back then - I would never have dreamed of switching to TalkTalk during that fiasco.
