slower than 33.6k broadband speed

[link to this post]

I'm not joking. I've been migrated to their new LLU adslmax, I used to have a stable 1mb line now 4kB /sec speed and less reliability than a dialup!
This is going on for a week now: I called their 10p / min line for 7-8 times, spent couple of hours on the phone: promised call back from senior tech person twice, never happened, left on the hook till I hanged up, hanged up and being told that my broadband account cancelled (???), told to call back in 24 hours and my broadband will be fixed, my line profiled was resetted 3 times (I have not seen any changes in SNR or any other dls proeprties from my end) and told to call my modem manufacturer (I tested the line with different adsl modems, one is working on eclipse adslmax on 6mb!).
I just don't know what to do, I desparately need adsl for my home office...
Any advice???

What line speeds is the modem actually connecting at now? Also what are the attenuation and noise margin figures?

I'm not at home now, but the modem shows downstream connection is between 1000 - 1050 kb,
(it changes every time I look at it)
upstream between 280-450 kb/s. In speadtests, the upstream spead is good, the downstream which is 20 kb/s instead of 1000...
Attenuation for downstream is 51db, as I remember. SNR for downstream is between 15-13db.
I was told by the support they changed my profile between 3-8mb couple of times, but I see no difference.
I'm thinking of cancelling the whole talktalk package (I!ve been with talktalk for 4 years!) and getting mobile modem card as getting a new provider might take months...
Desperate, really.
