Do Talktalk apply internet traffic management?

[link to this post]

Thinking of moving to Talktalk as it seems good value for money. I was tempted last year but held off as I expected that they would have customer service issues due to high demand. I am currently with Pipex Homecall who apply internet traffic management between 4pm-11pm whereby I can only download at 10kb/s speed of Usenet newsgroups. Outside this time it's around the 400kb/s mark as there is no traffic management. I know that Talktalk have imposed a 40GB limit but I only use around 10GB a month and would like no speed restrictions at any time if possible at all.

Do Talktalk impose any speed restrictions that I need to know of before signing up?
And can I use my own D-link wireless router?

I've not used NNTP on talktalk but in my experience all protocols max out my 3.5mbps LLU line. I also saw no traffic management when I was using their IPstream service either.

Yep they do restrict some people with regards to speed,i was on the phone to a second line support agent who was helping me with a technical fault and he informed me that my line was being "profiled" I asked him why and he replied it must be your usage. The problem is i do not go near the 40gig limit.I actually told the agent that i have du meter and can prove how much i download and upload but he was having none of it..
Here are my stats..

29/07/2007-04/08/2007=4.1gb upload/download
05/08/2007-11/08/2007=2.82gb upload/download
12/08/2007-18/08/2007=1.88gb upload/download
So i am not a high user yet i am being profiled!!!!..This is on LLU as well..
