As ETEE implies, if you are behind a router connected by an ethernet cable, TalkTalk doesn't know/care what platform you are running. It should just work. Most routers I have seen have an HTML interface to configure them with your (TalkTalk) user name and password. Usually pretty simple stuff.
When I switched to TalkTalk in March 2006 (from Onetel, who actually had Mac support staff!) I had problems with the TalkTalk Mac drivers for the USB ADSL modem. But once I eventually got connected, I switched out the USB ADSL modem for a wireless router (NetGear DG834G) and have never looked back (or had to contact their *wonderful* support, on any Mac-related issues).
I have been experiencing some random disconnections recently, but I can't put that down to running a Mac...
