Stats

[link to this post]

Hi,

I am happy with my Talktalk package. Talk 3 International + BB since April 2007. Had a bad experience with Orange after being with them since the good old Freeserve days. Orange could only supply me with 1 Meg BB by the way and looking at my stats you can see why.

I am 1.5k from my exchange as the crow flies but must be on a long/poor quality line or both.

Any ideas on ways to max out my connection will be appreciated :-)

Two sets of stats. From inside master socket (test socket) and from an extension that I am currently using. Here goes:-

From master socket (test socket)

Phone 2nd line CS and get your downstream target noise margin reduced from 15dB to 6dB. If you get disconnections, raise it to 9dB or 12dB. You should see an increase in speed.

Many thanks ETEE for your reply.

As my connection is rock solid at the moment I will consider getting my downstream target noise margin reduced. Will let you know how I get on.

Thanks
