Certain gateway problems???

I'm currently around the other halfs house, who has been with talk talk for just under a year. She has always been complaining about the slowness of TT, and a few times have not been able to use the connection at all.

I've just run some tests, pings were timing out etc...
I have noticed certain IP ranges/gateways seem to be the issue, rebooting the router picks up a different gateway and then all seems fine for a while. No torrents are being used or any big downloads are done on this connection.

Still slow response times but now managable.

Is this talk talks problem? What can I do to sort this problem out?
She is using a Belkin router, (the second one, connection performs the same on both routers and on the modem talk talk provided).

Belkin routers are not very compatible with TT MSANs. Best to use a supported router. Speedtouch is OK.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a MSAN?
It does the same thing with the supplied TT modem as well...
