Webmail Problems - 10/03/08

Anyone having problems with Webmail today Monday 10/03/08 15:52

A message box tells me there has been a problem, and to try again latter. Seems intermittant. Sometimes i can open my mail and send replies, sometimes not.

I have had the same problem for a few days now - cannot get any of my emails - thunderbird keeps reporting a timeout on mail.talktalk.net (even though it pings ok)

Webmail lets me see that I have emails waiting, but won't allow me to open them - just returns an error. (Also emails that I know should be there aren't on the list on webmail)

Gave up trying to get through to 2nd line support after about an hour or so after the first line told me it must be something to do with my settings (which haven't changed in over 6 months) having spent about half an hour trying to get through to them!

Oddly enough, this only seems to be a problem at work. Tried using mail2web.com, but that's always slow.

I use Thunderbird at home, but run Mailwasher first. Mailwasher also times out, but Thunderbird is fast, and if it connects to TT, then it can usually pull down th e-mail.

I'm warming to Thunderbird. Had to instal it when Outlook told me I didn't have a WAB32.dll file. Tried all the fixes without luck.

Installled TB, and it let me import my contacts and address book without any hassle.

It has been hit and miss or a couple of days but has given up completely for me this afternoon. "Error loading messages, please try again later."

Anyone from Talktalk staff shed any light at all ?

I'm not TT staff but there have been email server problems at TT for the last week.
