can you still contractually get out ? if you can, do it now as the TT internet provision has failed for you ALREADY !!

Not sure, what constitutes "breach of contract" ?

I will have to consult one of my lawyer friends.....

he should be organising a return to donor with BT and NOT telling tt that he is doing it. when the rtd is in place , he can tell tt to shove it and not have to pay a £127 reconnect charge to hook his line up with bt again.

.... when you consider there are 4.2 million customers if things were as bad as you make out there would be hundreds of new threads (excluding old threads with new posts in them) every day and as anyone can see for themselves there isn't, this is not me being a fanboy simply pointing out the facts....

.

For these "facts" to have any value at all in evaluating service levels, it would first of all be necessary to know the percentage of that 4.2M that actually use the forums to levy complaints.

TT make no secret of the forums location therefore i assume the majority of TT customers know it exists. wink

TALK TALK SUCK .....AND HERE IS WHY

[re: Jack_Hackett] [link to this post]

TT customers know TT phone support blows chunks
TT heads office knows TT phone support blows chunks
ISP users all over the UK know TT phone support blows chunks
The BBC exposed TT support as one which blows chunks

SO WHY THE HECK HAVENT TT DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT !!!!!!...........?

Customer care my backside, you phone TT support and you get some script reading moron who probably still cant tie their shoelaces on their own. Jack, if TT "cared" they would bring their phone support up to the mark, but they still employ the same deadbeats reading off the same scripts and still hanging up on customers.

Provisioning is RUBBISH
Billing is RUBBISH
Sales honesty and transparency is RUBBISH
Delivering modem on time is RUBBISH
Cancellation dept is RUBBISH
2nd and 3rd level support is RUBBISH
Management of users accounts is RUBBISH

Dont come in all high and mighty about the members forum by the way, whatcha gonna do if your Talk Talk connection hits the skids..........phone support !!

Pah..............worst ISP in the UK in a league of mediocrity all of their own.

I did note the smilie which I hope denotes sarcasm.
Whilst TT may not hide the fact that such resources exist, they certainly don't advertise them. The truth is that not one TalkTalk customer among my friends, family, colleagues and clients (A wide and very representative sample) were aware of the existence of either the official or the "members" forums before I had informed them. The "Active members" total of some 4000 is probably testament to that.

In reply to a post by Brunel:
I have had an ongoing problem since 13 May, I have posted all relevant facts and figures.

Of the three answers I have been given by the resident OCE's they are asking Q's for information to which I have previously posted.

It appears that they are mentally reading from a script, rather than reading the actual post.
Have you considered whether you are dealing with real people or a computer program?

I currently have an unusual problem and there has been no response for 2 days on the TTMF.

ps Dropping PPP sessions are usually the result of network congestion. At the moment TT are amalgamating the Tiscali and TT LLU networks. The OCEs have never in my experience admitted any network congestion, which is the responsibility of Opal to which the general public have no access. Network congestion has of course nothing to do with exchange capacity or MSAN port availability. The CEO of TT has publically stated that his LLU network has the best overhead of all the UK ISPs. Not in my experience as I have peak time access problems. Finding out whether the congestion is on TT's network or at interchange hubs like LINX, is very difficult. New capacity is constantly added, so in a month or two you might notice some difference..

Thanks for your very informative reply.

I notice that there are at least 5-6 other people with the same or similar problems.

Hi Brunel,

I'm afraid I can not help much but just want to say that I know how you feel as I'm in a similar situation since before Easter.

I also want to alert others to the fact that the once superb Members Forum, alas, is no longer.
Where it was once 'run' by the members with the TT staff stepping in as and when required, it is now run completely by TT operatives with the members, who made it so great, all but barred from front line support.
It is, thus, fast becoming just another arm of the long discredited TTCS.
The only advantage to the forum nowadays is a written record of what was 'said' and done.

Wish you better lack than Ive had so far.

Finally, at last I feel it is now being dealt with.

I have had two profile changes, as per the TT rule book.

No difference to the problem, PPP session still drops, hopefully will now be referred to a "consultant" ie: TT Networks.

According to a TalkTalk support agent on 10/05/10, all outages of this nature have been resolved.
