1. I notice there is no update today to the info. thread:

http://www.talktalkmembers.com/forum...ad.php?t=44910

2. The TT network engineer has failed to call me.

3. The fault still persists.

Hi Brunel smile

Not Looking Good... Is It?

Went down ( Red ) again about half an hour ago.

Truly believe this has been going on for quite some time. Maybe as long as 16 months frown
I've read so many threads on the Talk Talk forum... My Brain Hurts!
It's as though they started off about 16 months ago.
Rolling " something " out... But Only To The Few!
Perhaps as part of some Trial.
Then They Stopped!
Then about 12 months ago they started again.
But Again... Only To The Few!
Then April came and they rolled out whatever it is... To Many More!
Then June came... They Rolled It Out In Mass blush

Thing Is...
Many people on the TT forum don't even realise they have the authentication problem.
They hear the term... Losing Sync!
And many people think that is just another way of saying... Internet Cut Out!
Also...
Many people can describe the same problem in a many different ways.
Depending on...
1) Level of experience
2) Router being used
3) How much time they have spent trying to figure out what is actually happening.
Combination of these things has allowed Talk Talk to treat each case as totally individual problems.
Washing over the real problem for far too long frown
And...
They are still continuing to send engineers out to people that quite obviously have the authentication problem.

Starting To Lose Hope!

Even the DNS problem, that although did improve dramatically... Never really went away!
Few days ago suddenly became so bad again... I'm now back on OpenDNS frown

There is only one TT problem I can happily say I haven't had to endure... The Low IP tongue

Three Problems

1) Authentication ............... Not Solved!
2) DNS Problem ............... Not Solved!
3) Low IP Address ......... Solved!

How long are we going to have to wait? - Before they fix 1 & 2 ?

Thanks! wink

PS.
Download speed has just plummeted again ( 1mbps ) blush

PPS.
I'm On LLU .. Not IP Stream

And I've had my best and worst speeds all in one day.

Yep, he has called four days running to give me a report.

But today, an ominous silence, is it possible that they are defeated?

Hi Brunel smile

How are things at your end?

Things are going from bad to worse here frown

This Morning
As yesterday was another bad day...
I'd already decided to reboot the router before turning on my laptop.
But!
Just before I did... My mum noticed there was something wrong with the phone.
Checked the phone myself - & - Found that we've now got a rather odd sounding dial tone.
So... Thought I'd try changing my filter. ( Strange Dial Tone Continued! )
Rebooted Router
Booted Up My Laptop
5 minutes later....
Red Internet Light On Router ( Did NOT Turn Back To Green This Time ) frown
So...
Router Unplugged
Changed Phone ( No Difference! )
Changed Filter Again ( No Difference! )
Kept booting up the router to find that the Internet light turning Red - & - Staying Red blush
To cut a long story short....
I've had a terrible morning just trying to get the router - ON - Without the Internet light being Red.

Today's Router Stats ( MTU 1432 )
Attenuation.. Down = 35.0 | Up = 17.3
Noise Margin.. Down = 6.0db | Up = 12.4db
Sync.. Down = 12649 | Up = 1020

I'm So Fed Up!

Hi Brunel smile

Whatever Networks Are Doing... They're Making Things Worse!

Just Gone Down Again!
But instead of bouncing back....
My connection is really struggling to come back on it's own now blush
Normally back up within 5 minutes.
Now taking... 10 Minutes - or - Longer! ( Sometimes Needing To Reboot Router Now )

Still Do NOT Lose Sync!

Could sit and cry all day today.
Just had enough of it now frown

Hi Brunel smile

RE : http://www.talktalkmembers.com/forums/showthread.php...

Glad to hear they have at least started working on the problem again.
Don't let them wiggle away till they've solved it wink
&
Tell Them.... Not to forget me frown
Exchange: Connah's Quay = WNDEE

Shall I tell you how closely linked AOL and Talk Talk are.
When AOL sent an engineer out to me at the end of April... Guess Where The Engineer Was From?
Yep! ... Talk Talk
AOL sent a Talk Talk engineer out to look at my Master Socket.

AOL might be my ISP
But...
I'm definitely connected to the Talk Talk network frown

Thanks!

Hi tommy45 smile

Can't afford Sky!
&
Would truly love to have LLU O2 / Be ... But not available at my exchange frown

Just a few weeks before AOL phoned on the 1st April .. To ask me did I want up to 24mbps contract.
Yep! - They phoned on... April Fools Day!
How ironic is that?

I'd actually phoned O2 ... Just to be 100% certain that LLU wasn't available at my exchange.

That's why I said Yes when AOL phoned me.
Coz it wasn't like I'd got much chance of getting a better deal else where.
And what's the point of having the hassle of moving from AOL - to - Talk Talk
When They're Both The Same Company - & - Connected To The Same Network blush

Thanks!
