You should get either a Huawei HG521 or a D'link, mine is the 2680 but i think they provide a newer one now.

A friend is currently with TT and has old ST330s - 2 which are connected to different PCs and he connects which ever he wants to use. Fun happens when he is using one PC and his wife powers up te other without checking and the connection (as expected) falls over.

He is computer illiterate and I will sort him out remotely (200 miles away) and am trying to decide whether he should persuade TT to send him a new modem/router or he goes and buys one himself (preferred - so he can migrate!).

If he is out of contract he could ring the "retention team" and tell them he is thinking of leaving, I am sure they will be able to help. wink

If he has a medium to long line and does not get more than 6Mbps then there is not much point upgrading because the ST330 is a good and stable modem on ADSL1.

Only when they want wireless broadband with many devices, should they upgrade. IMHO the simpler the better. Going to ADSL2+ may expose internal wiring faults and other problems. If it ain't bust don't fix it is my motto.
