Hardly. If I wanted to leave TalkTalk, the last thing I would be doing is registering for the members forum. Get real. Not that I want to leave TalkTalk. Am quite happy there for now. But then again, I don't have any issues.

Hi SimonCandest,
surely you would. The OP has been struggling to leave us and for 2 mins of their time I can the issue sorted. Doesn't that make sense?

Doesn't that make sense? It may very well do, but it's not lawful. You have to allow user to choose his method of his own free will.

LOL. It took me days to get registered for the members forum. No matter, I'm not complaining. I'm not the one trying to leave.
I don't disagree that the members forum would be the place to get this sorted in a timely manner, but it should not be that way. If I want a mac I should be able to call, or email the correct department and get one quickly and hassle free.

I wouldn't disagree that you should be able to obtain a MAC quickly and easily by whatever means you prefer. I was simply making the offer to take responsibility for dealing with it myself, I work online on the members forum.
In response to XRaySpeX I didn't advise the customer that the forum was there only method simply the method via which I could take ownership. I don't think that offering to take ownership and bring the issue to a resolution is unlawful is it?
Cheers

Oops both of you have missed something
Full LLU MAC does not exist
If it is possible the end-user is on IPStream, and lots of users have no idea (hint if upstream is 448Kbps then most likely), but the proportion of TalkTalk customers on IPStream is small.

Have you tried the talktalk members forum.....
There are very many TT users that do not have access to that forum.

There should only be AOL customers who cannot access our help. If you know of someone else ask them to use the members contact us form and we will help them register.
