Thanks for all the replies so far - really helpful.

I've been doing as much reading as I can on talktalk, and dropping connections seem to be an issue. Are any of you experiencing this??

I have been with TT since the middle of 2007 and although my sync speed is limited by the line length and quality, I have never had any problems with the service.

My brief answer to your latest question is: "No". wink

Thanks for this. I've been with a super stable connection with zen for many years now, which is why I'm worried about this move.

talktalk are telling me that If i cancelled the contract I would not need a cease and re-provide, even though they are the only llu provider at my exchange. I thought if you go from llu to standard adsl it has to be cease and re-provide. Which is correct?

To revert back from full LLU you would need to do a Return To Donor on the line. Certainly not a cease and re-provide. Probably Bob or one of the other regulars will be able to give you the full details of what would be required.
