Update

Hi just had an email to update my router so installed it and at the end it said its up to date but then started Deletting my temporary internet files and download history just wanted to why it would do this if it was only an update ?

Sounds more like a trojan/virus email rather than an actual one from TalkTalk

TalkTalk can remotely upgrade routers with no input from the user at all, so sending an email to trigger this would be very unusual.

I would recommend checking with your anti virus software, and also a good Malware scanner, if you don't have one then MalwareBytes from

Then it looks pukka.

It's a program that runs on your PC, rather than just a firmware code file. I guess it was just cleaning itself up a bit. Temp Internet Files don't matter and your Browsing History, if that's what you mean, is not that important.
