OK thanks for all your help. Reason for my worry is the youview TV service set for install on 12/12.

iPlayer etc has been acceptable on laptops / pc's with my download speed in the region of 6.5 - 7 Mb. But it's now around 5.5 Mb and will be worse on a big screen tv. (Will check the BBC iPlayer test for streaming speeds later).

The guy who installs will prob want to start looking at internal wiring / routers etc, but I am sure as can be that isn't the problem.

I will keep you updated and hopefully get on the TT forum... unless any friendly TT people check this thread and can get me registered....

Rebooted router last last night... synch speed now DOWN to 847 / 5660. The TT speedcheck page today gives 0.70 / 4.77, DOWN compared to 0.69 / 5.49 yesterday afternoon.

TT estimated my average speed would be nearly double what I was getting, instead it is now over 30% LOWER in the 24 hrs since being moved to the new service.

Have now been approved for the TT forums and just registered, however cannot post yet. Site says forum a/c may need activation so will try later today.
