I'm guessing the CS bod you spoke to originally could do with some 'additional training' wink

Glad you got it sorted.

Had a "good" 6dB SNRM 1536Kbs until 03:30, router re-synched to 9dB 1024kbs.

This speed is almost useless.

TT performed "a line test" this am, showing a loop fault,

I've ran a test on the line which has detected a potential loop fault which can often be caused by internal wiring or equipment connected to the line.

I have a prefiltered socket, the 'phone is crystal clear, no crackles whistles or pops.

So does TT now operate a DLM as per the link above or not?

Direct from TT.

"DLM is still optimising, has set profile to 1.5Mbps at around 3:30am

DLM generally makes profile changes at around 3:30am"

Do you know if that time for DLM changes is specific to your line or in general?

I've had a few issues with my ADSL2+, TTB SMPF, 37dB downstream attenuation, connection recently (high error rates) and to remedy the problem I forced ADSL2 with a downstream SNRM of 3dB (previously on 6dB) - downstream throughput has reduced from ~10.3Mbps to ~9.3Mbps but the line is now stable. I have an open ticket with xilo/uno regarding this issue and the guys there recommended that I stick with ADSL2 and didn't advise me to change any router settings (Billion 7800N) for the foreseeable future.

TT DLM, has now forced me on to a download synch. speed of 1024Kbs.

Which is almost useless.
