Is the RF3 available for DIY install?
If so, any idea where?

The light sensor is powered all the time so i doubt it will be that. My money is on the lamp holder or choke.

Not as far as I know, but then I can't say as I have looked that hard. Since this should be fitted in-line before the NTE, then I guess it's not for the general public to fit........

Fair enough, but if I can get hold of one, no reason why I can't fit it post-master and before any other connections (extensions, adsl, etc.)?

I think the offence is emitting electromagnetic radiation that inteferes with anything else.

this sounds bad. As nearly all "line tests" seem to have a positive result (to the point where I wonder if any actual testing occurs) what will be the circumstances where an engineer will be sent out ?

Is there a drift for Openreach to leave ADSL faults alone - as their remit is the wire then if the wire works its not an Openreach issue ?

At the moment, since ( as mentioned elsewhere by me ) the SP's will not agree to pay any extra,
and we are unable to raise 'ADSL Healthcheck' charges against non BT Retail lines ( no testing after the NTE without a seperate task raised via the TELEPHONE SP ) things are looking iffy for punters to get an ADSL skilled engineer out......... So much for unbundling and Ofcom progress.

Where I live (and represent) some street lights are the responsibility of the Community Council (read Parish Council or Town Council) and others are the responsibility of the County Council. Usually, those on major roads, even if they have houses on, will be County Council,l whereas those on other roads will be Community Council.
There "should" be a reference number on the lamp post, so if you contact the council with this and the street name they can soon tell you. Regardless of whether your council do their street lamps in-house, or use a contractor, one notifies the council NOT the contractor. (He who raises the work order, pays the bill.)

Thanks, thinking on, I think it is the county council who do street lighting here.
