Is it not covered by illegal RF emissions law?

This is my concern, they'll probably do nothing if the light itself is working ok, ahwell I can only try.

Thanks for that Albert. Was only last week I approached the council to trim a branch rubbing against my phoneline which I thought *may* be causing some probs. No sign of them yet.

Depends if it is interfering with radio frequencies doesn't it ? Could the OP see if it is causing grief to, say, a portable MW radio turned to 693 ?

The other thing is to make a written log of the light coming on and the associated issues, this can be shown to the Council to add grist to your mill. Have you tried calling BT out via your ISP ? Not worth telling them the full SP, you will, unless seriously lucky, just confuse some desk-wallah. When the engineer comes out show him the data, he/she might at least try fitting an RF3 filter.

Thanks Albert. This is the million dollar question. Who to approach first without being greeted by someone without a clue Could I ring BT? Should I approach my ISP who inturn would approach BT? I'll probably try the council first
Edit:: Infact I'll aproach my ISP first..

You must raise all DSL queries via your ISP, if not the engineer who Openreach send is very likely not to have ADSL faulting skills/equipment....this said, a little bird has implied, that after 01/07/06, if your line tests OK for line faults, earth/battery etc, then BTw will not task engineers out for suspected RFI/REIN faults.

Where are you ?

Hi, I'm in Scarborough, Nth Yorks. I've just posted a query to claranets newsgroup, to see what they say. As you say ISP first.

In reply to:

Ah, well, unlike you as a Beach Boy, when at work, I don't 'Get Around'. Least not that far anyhow. Good luck, and keep us posted.
