Hi guys, is there any point in disconnecting the right wire on terminal 3 if have a filtered faceplate?

I have tried this in the past ... it made very little, or no difference. So I kept it connected.

edit: I think I misread your post. Just to clairfy, it was in the filtered faceplate that I removed the ring wire (3) , not at the socket outlets.
