So I have done line checks using both samknows and btchecker On my House My next door neighbour to the right and the one to the left and these are the results.
MY HOUSE
According to BT Wholesale, your line should be able to support a 0.5Mbps or greater ADSL connection.
You cannot receive 2Mbps ADSL
You cannot receive 1Mbps ADSL
You may be able to receive 512Kbps ADSL(Engineer visit likely)
You may be able to receive 256Kbps ADSL(Engineer visit likely)
You are approximately 2.70km from the exchange (straight line distance).
MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOUR TO THE LEFT
According to BT Wholesale, your line should be able to support a 3.5Mbps or greater ADSL connection via ADSL Max.
You cannot receive 2Mbps ADSL
You may be able to receive 1Mbps ADSL
You can receive 512Kbps ADSL
You can receive 256Kbps ADSL
You are approximately 2.70km from the exchange (straight line distance).
MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOUR TO THE RIGHT
According to BT Wholesale, your line should be able to support a 5.5Mbps or greater ADSL connection via ADSL Max.
You can receive 2Mbps ADSL
You can receive 1Mbps ADSL
You can receive 512Kbps ADSL
You can receive 256Kbps ADSL
You are approximately 2.70km from the exchange (straight line distance).
Any explanation to why these are so differant when we are on the same exchange, the same line distance and bang next door to each other?
