Two ADSL modems, one BT line

[link to this post]

Hey all

I've just joined, i knew it when it was adslguide.org.uk, but i like this new layout.

Does anyone know if it is possible to use two adsl modems on one telephone line at different points in my house. I have Freeserve (Orange) 2mb ADSL and i am about 2 miles from my exchange.

The issue i have is that my office is at one side of the house and my son wants to use broadband upstairs, and wireless is not an option (very old farm house - walls are about 8 inches thick). So was wondering if it was possible to use two ADSL modems one in my office and one in my sons room on the same BT line, but obviously the line is split, where it comes into the house so i have a wall point in my office and theres a wall point in my sons room for the telephone line.

Thanks in adbance for your help, and apologies if the explanation is a little convoluted.

Alex.
