Game.co.uk - Unable to load

[link to this post]

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone can help.
I've been experiencing problems fully loading the 'game.co.uk' website when Javascript is enabled. If I turn it off then it loads in a flash but has limited functionality.
The problem affects Firefox and IE on my home machine but accessing with my iPhone on same network is fine. Opera will also load it but takes ages.
Also, if I access through a proxy (hidemyass.com for example) then this also works.
Very odd and open to suggestions - other than not to use game smile

edit - I should also add that I use a BT Homehub v2 (black) and that I am unable to change the MTU on it (set at 1500 I believe). I've also tried the suggestions on kitz.co.uk to no avail.

Sounds like some JS is being externally called (maybe an advert)? I get this problem now and again on sites that use JS from external sources that are down, thus halting the whole page.

Maybe you could look at the code to see if there is anything like that?

Matt

Hi,
I've got AdBlock and NoScript addons for Firefox and enabling / disabling them make no difference. I will check and see if there is a specific site that it is trying to call from that may be halting progress. I remember that ww5.game.co.uk and img.game.co.uk are read from alot.
I'm at work now and having no problems at all with the site.
I checked and found that a laptop connected wirelessly to my network couldn't access the site either.
Common factor being my Home Hub v2. Could this block Javascript somehow? The website does load though, with JS turned off.
