No Sync

[link to this post]

Hey I've just moved into a new flat, had BT phone line installed and then ordered PlusNet BB. Phone line has gone in ok, and Plus net told me my broadband had been installed last Friday. Only problem is my ADSL doesn't work. There is no broadband sync light flashing on my router (I've tried two different ones).

Plusnet have had me plug in with different filters and at the test socket. This didn't work. They've now run a test on the line and below is the result that came back.

Does anyone know what it means? BT have now been contacted so maybe there is something to be fixed at their end.

if you dial 17070 do you get the phone number read out and is this the same as the broadband is supposed to be on ?

No flashing light on router means router can't see DSLAM so it looks like a provisioning fault.

MaxDSL - goes as fast as it can and doesn't read the line checker first.

So Plusnet have now told me that BT have done tests at the exchange on jumpers and ruled these out. It is, apparently, a "D Side" fault. So an engineer will be visiting.

Interestingly I've just noticed that if I'm on the voice line and turn my router off and on again the voice call will disconect and the bt woman says "please hang up and try again" - I'm guessing that isn't normal!
